Cashew Nut Shell Liquid (CNSL)
Cashew Nut Shell Liquid (CNSL) is a high-potential renewable feedstock in the global sustainable materials and bioenergy supply chain. Produced from cashew nut shells a by-product of the cashew processing industry, CNSL supports resource efficiency, waste valorisation, and the transition towards a circular economy. Among these components, cardanol is the most commercially valuable derivative due to its unique molecular structure. It combines an aromatic phenolic ring with a long C15 unsaturated hydrocarbon chain, providing excellent chemical reactivity while maintaining flexibility and hydrophobic properties. This structure makes CNSL an exceptional renewable substitute for petroleum-derived phenols in numerous industrial applications. As global industries seek bio-based alternatives, CNSL has evolved from an agricultural residue into a strategic industrial raw material.

Biofuel & Renewable Energy
One of the fastest-growing applications of CNSL is within the renewable fuel industry.
Although CNSL itself is not yet a mainstream transportation fuel, it is increasingly recognized as a renewable feedstock suitable for conversion into advanced bio-based products through technologies such as hydrotreatment, catalytic upgrading, and co-processing.
As regulations continue encouraging renewable carbon utilization, CNSL is expected to play an increasingly important role in future biofuel value chains.

A phenalkamine adhesive is an epoxy resin system that uses a phenalkamine (cashew nutshell liquid-based) hardener. Highly valued for industrial and marine applications, it cures rapidly at low temperatures (even at 0°C) and bonds flawlessly to damp, wet, or poorly prepared surfaces.
